Don has spent the last 24 years with MasterCard Worldwide in various positions in technology, business development and product management, most recently as Vice President and Senior Business Leader for commercial products and Smart Data where he was responsible for the commercial data warehouse, global data acquisition and integration, data enhancement, and data quality.
His successes include working with Banks, third party processors, ERP vendors, Travel and Procurement companies, suppliers, consolidators, and aggregators to launch successful travel, procurement, and fleet programs with over 200 banks serving over 700,000 private and public sector companies ranging from small businesses to large multinational and fortune 100 corporations in over 50 countries. Consistent successive 15-year double digit growth. Finding ways to increase revenue with minimal budget. Defining repeatable process that others could implement with minimal training and experience.
Prior to his leadership in commercial card programs, Don was a successful managing consultant and software quality assurance practice leader for Computer Power Group and held varying technical, development, and leadership positions at Sherwood Medical, Labarge Steel, Westlake industries, and Storz Surgical instruments.
Don attributes his many successes to not accepting it could not be done and to the power of being able to draw on everyone’s strengths and knowledge to achieve the best outcome.
Don is very proud of the fact that his teams were consistently recognized as high performers, team members were promoted and given new opportunities. Together they took on challenges others would not and succeeded as they grew together. Don is very proud to have had several team members follow him to new opportunities and says that is the greatest praise a leader can receive.
